“I find that people around here have a very strong sense of ethics. I remember one example of this was when Covid forced us to serve our take-away Phumjai crepe in plastic rather than paper boxes. One of our customers, the owner of The Yard Bangkok , cleaned the plastic box and then kept it until she had a chance to return it to me. I admire people like this. The added bonus of her doing this was that we got to know each other – now we can pop over to see each other and say hi. I think that Ari people are ahead of the curve in terms of environmental awareness – and that ethical stance never goes away.”
